Dekumzy biography definition

Derek Osonwa is his birth name, but fondly and professionally known as Dekumzy. He is a popular Nigerian record producer, musician, composer, pianist and songwriter.

Dekumzy was born on March 27 1983 in Enugu, Enugu State, Nigeria.

He hails from Awka, Anambra State where he had his primary and secondary education respectively.

Dekumzy’s Music Career

Dekumzy kick-started his music journey when he joined Federal Ex Students Christian Association (FECA) in the year 2000, playing keyboard.
He made his first major album production of the Duo “Resonance” titled “Chinweike” in 2006.

Dekumzy has since released a number of hits like “No Time” by Bracket featuring P-Square, “Yori Yori Remix” by Bracket ft 2Baba, “Baby Oku” by Flavour N’abania, “Strong and Mighty” by Mr Raw featuring Flavour N’abania, “Carolina Remix” by Dr Alban featuring Charly Boy.
