    • He was born in the village of Kulikove in Lviv Oblast. Stupka graduated from the studio at the M. Zankovetska Theatre (1961) and the theatre studies faculty at the I. K. Karpenko-Kary Theatre Institute in Kyiv (1984). From 1961, he was an actor at the Lviv Ukrainian Drama Theatre named after M.

    Zankovetska, and from 1978, at the Ivan Franko Academic Theatre. In 2000, he became the Minister of Culture of Ukraine.
